Finance Manager

Job Description

Supporting high profile events and productions across sport and entertainment, our highly acquisitive client is at the forefront of broadcasting technology. Reporting to the Finance Director and responsible for one report, you will have responsibility for the day to day activities of the small finance function whilst supporting the business operations through credible and meaningful budgeting & forecasting.

Routine tasks will include:

Production of monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis and assisting in the preparation of yearly statutory accounts (IFRS).

Revenue recognition, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset register, stock scheduling & cash flow forecasting.

Provision of ad hoc commercial information and analysis, including project, Capex and new product analysis.

You will also be expected to add value through effective business partnering, developing a strong relationship between finance and the business to ensure that the numbers reflect the "real world" of the operation and the introduction of process improvements to meet the needs of a dynamic and growing business.

With a new SMT on board with the brief to grow the business, this is an exciting opportunity for a capable, proactive and ambitions newly qualified seeking a fist move into a management post, but still with ample opportunities for professional development.

  • Educated to Degree level
  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or overseas equivalent
  • Advanced Excel - vlookups, pivot tables & formulas
  • Experience of group reporting and statutory accounts desirable
  • Proven ability and desire to work with both finance & non finance managers
