Mind the GAAP

The UK Accounting Standard’s Board has just undertaken a massive consultation on the future of UK GAAP.  PQ magazine asked chairman Ian Mackintosh to tell them how he sees the future.  Whatever happens the ASB retains the responsibility for overseeing and setting standards for all UK entities other than the listed consolidators (which are covered by European law).  To read the exclusive interview go to the pqmagazine.com study zone.  You will also find their interview with Sir David Tweedie (chair of the IASB).
