Welcome to our late Spring/early Summer newsletter; at least I hope I’m in the right season! Less than a month ago the “Beast from the East” made its third visit to the UK, trumping even the most miserable Easter Bank Holiday I can ever recall with #uksnow! And how come we rarely experience a truly white Christmas, but this year, some parts of the country were enveloped in March??!! All of this is recent history as summer has most definitely arrived with scorching sunshine and clear blue skies prominent replacing the run of grey dull weather that we have all been suffering from recently. Stifling hot temperatures were recorded in London last Thursday with the mercury hitting 29C in St James’s Park, making it the hottest April since 1949 and allegedly, hotter than Turkey.
