My move into the recruitment industry was a well researched and specific change of direction in my career. Having started my career in finance with a large Surrey based FMCG, I was fortunate enough to work in a multi faceted environment where I learnt a lot about my personal strengths and the elements I needed for a job to motivate me on a daily basis. One of the most common misconceptions about Recruitment Consultants is that we are all ‘job hoppers’. I have changed roles twice in ten years and I do not expect to move again!
The same reasons that motivated my direct approach to Walker Dendle still apply today. I had heard consistently positive messages from candidates and clients whilst working for a competitor in the same market. The most common theme was loyalty, based on current and historic levels of service.
I believe that you can deliver results and remain commercially astute whilst also acting in a professional, ethical manner.
