The position will require flexibility as the position will cover a wide spectrum of responsibilities from bid support, to raising an invoice and is incredibly varied as the business moves from a marketing hub to a profit centre as it transitions into a fully operating UK sunniness business.
The role could be undertaken on either a part time (pro-rated salary) or a full time basis and can be moulded around other commitments either via a reduced working day or reduced days per week. If full time, the successful applicant would need to be prepared to get involved in other commercial activities such as procurement, contract negotiations, quality assurance and other ad hoc duties to support the CEO and his SMT as new business is won.
Key skills required include – budgets, bid and proposal support, pricing and rate structures, review of leasing arrangements etc. being commercially astute will be a distinct advantage.
You will need to put networking internally at the top of your list building relationships with both UK based companies and your international colleagues. An interest in and enthusiasm for working and understanding other cultures is important.
In addition to the above a list of key tasks includes;
• Create an overhead and rates structure
• Set up project accounting capability including toolset
• Manage project accounting for successful campaigns in the short term.
• Creation and provision of Management Accounts
• Develop a strategy and business case surrounding the insertion of a new finance system
• Lead budget creation on an annual basis with monthly tracking through the management accounts
• Book keeping, invoicing and payment controls., including liaison with parent company divisions to allocate costs
• Support bids on a case by case basis.
You will a qualified accountant with a track record in hands on accounting as well as supporting and business with senior stakeholders. You will be smart, passionate and keen to get really involved in structuring the business for the next level of its growth and development.
