A fantastic career opportunity for an experienced treasury accountant to join a growing PE backed global business with an evolving finance function in a treasury department that is responsible for key areas including liquidity, funding, management of financial risk and the reporting and budgeting of treasury related items.
The Group Treasury Manager has responsibility for ensuring complete and accurate financial and management reporting of the Group’s treasury activities including approximately €2.6bn debt portfolio with significant associated hedging derivatives and reported financing costs of approximately €90m.
Reporting, analysis, forecasting and budgeting; prepare management reports, analysis, budgets and forecasts on treasury related issues.
Develop and improve the Group’s treasury reporting and forecasting.
Treasury accounting; ensure the accounting and statutory reporting for group treasury numbers is accurate and accounting standard compliant for all reporting cycles.
Take the lead on understanding and explaining the accounting impact of all treasury transactions and be Group’s Treasury’s main point of contact with the external auditors.
Compliance with the Group’s financing arrangements; fully understand the requirements and restrictions of the Group’s borrowing agreements and ensure that records are kept to monitor these requirements.
Prepare quarterly compliance certificates and ensure these are filed in line with the required deadlines.
Debt investor and credit rating agency relations; support the Group Treasurer in the key relationships with the ratings agencies and debt investors. This includes preparing investor presentations and responding promptly to questions.
Treasury policies; responsibility for the Group’s treasury policies and controls ensuring they are appropriate and are operating effectively.
Ad Hoc; assist the Group Treasurer on ad-hoc projects, execute and approve the daily treasury payments as necessary, provide cover for the Group Treasurer and other members of the treasury team as required
The successful applicant will be:
Qualified accountant with at least 3 years post qualification experience (AMCT highly desirable)
Up to date treasury accounting knowledge
Experience working within a large multinational finance team or a major accountancy firm
Strong Excel skills
Knowledge of banking and other treasury systems desirable
