Our client, a multi-site retail business, is looking to recruit a Stock Control Manager. The role will report into the Financial Operations Manager and will be recruited to on a fixed term contract basis.
The role takes responsibility for the management of the Retail Stock Control team and will take ownership of maintaining accurate and up to date stock records, supporting stock management across the business. broken down, this means stock transaction processing, stock take planning, co-ordination and completion and supporting shops and the merchandising team.
The ideal candidate must have stock control experience and a proven track record of managing and developing relationships across a retail business. The aim is to raise the profile of finance from an operational perspective, to develop strong relationships with retail specific non-finance functions, motivate the team and drive efficiency, process stock adjustments and supplier invoice authorisation, process cost of sales and stock loss expenditure, complete year-end stock reporting, review and improve processes and procedures, and support the financial accounting function with the production of project reports and reconciliations.
