Charity Secret Santa

Shooting Star Chase is an amazing children’s hospice charity that cares for not only children suffering from life limiting conditions but also their families. They offer care and support every day of the year, not only offering short breaks in the hospices but also hospice at home, end of life care and bereavement care.

I recently went down to one of the Shooting Star Chase hospices based in Hampton, to see the facilities and services that this amazing charity provides firsthand. Not only do they have specially designed bedrooms and bathrooms to fit each child’s individual needs, they have therapeutic rooms for the children ranging from musical to artistic and therapy rooms for the bereaved to receive guidance and support. This charity offers support for three years after the loss of a child, not only for the parents but also for the siblings and grandparents.

This year we have embarked on two projects with this charity. The first of which being a Charity Auction Ball organised by our CEO, Lisa Dendle as a joint venture with Sandown Park Ski Race Club. The second will be our Secret Santa Donation. The Charity Auction Ball had over 20 lots that were graciously donated from multiple sources including some of our wonderful clients! This event managed to raise almost £6,000.

Our second project is to provide the children with sensory toys to aid their development and other gifts they may like in time for Christmas. Although we all enjoy the comedic challenge of finding gifts for our colleagues, this year we wanted to provide gifts for a worthier cause.

If anyone would like to get involved please get in touch via email at and I will send you the details and the Christmas list along .
